CSI introduced the Flare-Bangâ„¢ round in March of 2006 in response to a military need for a flash-bang warning signal round in the configuration of the MK-135 pen flare. The Viperâ„¢ Flare-Bang launches a colored tracer up to 150 meters. Flares are available in red, white and green. The flash-bang report produces 3 million candela and a noise level over 160 dB.

The 12-Gauge Flare bang is an enhanced warning and signaling munition. Available in ranges from 150 to 300 meters with flat trajectory, red tracer in flight for flare-type effects, and flash bang report produces 3 million candela and over 160 dB blast level.
